Suspension of classes on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, has been announced by the University of Santo Tomas (UST) officials due to flooding inside the campus. Office work was as well suspended.

"Because of floods inside and around the UST campus brought about by heavy downpour, classes in all levels and office work are suspended today, Tuesday, 26 August 2014. -Office of the Secretary-General," the university posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday.

At 9pm on Monday, it was reported that España Street in Sampaloc, Manila where the school is located experienced "gutter or knee-high" flood.

Heavy rains also affected other areas in Metro Manila on Monday night. However, only UST had announced class suspension as of this posting.

Update: More schools and local government units have suspended Tuesday classes.
